| The Rhodesian Ridgeback Club of the United States (RRCUS) held its National Specialty in Ventura, California this past year. The National Specialty is a competition between Ridgebacks only, and changes show location each year, moving from the West Coast to Mid West to East and then back to the Mid West. It was a great opportunity for us to showcase our dogs. 500 Ridgebacks were entered in conformation competition. | Register of Merit is awarded to dogs and bitches who produce a significant number of champions. For bitches, a minimum of 5 champion get are required. More than a third of Shelby's puppies are champions.
