| Solo was retired as a result of radiation treatments for cancer that left him with permanent scarring on his left hind leg. At the time he was retired he was the # 6 Ridgeback in the nation, and almost 7 years old. He and his handler Terri Brennan-Weiss spent 3 successful years together in the show ring. His back-up handler Michael McGuire came very close to earning a Best In Show title on Solo in 2006. |
